Selena Erickson was 4-for-4 with a double, four runs and six RBIs, including a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning, to propel Del Sol’s softball team to an 11-7 home win over Tech on Thursday.
Junior Allyson Snelling singled home classmate Cara Beatty with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, and host Palo Verde rallied for a 7-6 victory over fourth-ranked Coronado.
Tatum Spangler labored through the first four innings before settling down, and host Coronado took advantage of six errors by Las Vegas to earn a 6-1 victory.

Marisa Olmos and Ashleigh Rodriguez met when they were in fifth grade. They went to the same middle school, played travel softball together the past six years and now are juniors at Liberty.
