Winning pitcher Mosie Foley belted a two-run home run with two outs in the top of the ninth inning Friday to lead Faith Lutheran’s softball team to an 8-7, nine-inning win at Sierra Vista.
Amanda Sink threw a three-hitter and hit the game-winning home run with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday as the Legacy softball team edged visiting Durango, 3-2.
Haylee Lupinetti who pitched a complete game earlier Saturday in a semifinal win, tossed 4 1/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief to help Palo Verde rally for an 11-9 win over Westview (Oregon) in the Silver Bracket final of the Spring Jamboree at MajesticPark.
Megan Faraimo, a 6-foot sophomore who has committed to UCLA, struck out 14 and pitched a four-hitter to lead defending tournament champion Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) past Centennial.
Liberty pounded out 17 hits, stole five bases and put nonstop pressure on the Poly (Calif.) defense in a 20-1 four-inning victory.
Cierra Davis was 2-for-2 with a double and a run to help the Cimarron-Memorial softball team to a 6-3 win over visiting Silverado on Friday.
