Ariel Wilson went 2-for-3 with a triple and allowed three runs over five innings to lift Mojave’s softball team to a 6-4 home victory over Legacy.
Shelby Carvalho hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Liberty’s softball team to an 8-7 home win over Basic on Monday.
Angel Jones went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as Del Sol’s softball team held on for a 16-12 road win over Sunrise Mountain on Monday.
Tyler Tuiasosopo, 27, was hired by Western last month and provides instant name recognition for a team that hasn’t won a game on the field since 2010.
