Softball
Eldorado’s softball team scored four runs in the third inning and five in the fourth Friday to rally from a 6-0 deficit and beat Las Vegas 11-9 at Coronado to claim the final Sunrise Region postseason spot.
Western’s Alexa Camacho was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs Thursday as the visiting Warriors held on to beat Desert Pines, 13-11.
Kaitlin Fazendin had a home run and a double Thursday as Durango’s softball team scored three in the seventh inning to stun host Desert Oasis, 11-9.
Mikayla Berg was 2-for-2 with a three-run home run, and Basic’s softball team scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to get past visiting Silverado on Thursday, 11-9.
Sara Riley was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Bonanza’s softball team held on for an 8-4 road victory over Las Vegas High on Wednesday afternoon.
Adriana Thomason scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Arbor View’s softball team to a 7-6 victory over Faith Lutheran on Thursday evening.
Chryshelle Abril-Ryan and Brianna Villarreal each homered for Spring Valley’s softball team Thursday as the Grizzlies rallied to beat visiting Bonanza, 8-7.
Mackenzie Perry pitched five shutout innings of relief on Monday to lift Rancho’s softball team to a 2-0 home win over Basic.
