Little League International stripped from Jackie Robinson West the U.S. championship it won by beating Mountain Ridge 7-5 in August and awarded the title to the Las Vegas team. It is an empty gesture that is neither deserved nor, by most, welcomed.

Little League International is investigating charges that Jackie Robinson West, the all-black team from the South Side of Chicago that beat Las Vegas’ Mountain Ridge 7-5 in the U.S. Championship in August, broke residency rules to build a stacked roster.
