Jeanne Carmell tossed four touchdown passes and ran for a score Wednesday as Boulder City’s flag football routed visiting Cimarron-Memorial, 40-0.

FLAG FOOTBALL: Poullard leads Dragons by Grizzlies

Tarika Poullard had 17 catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns Monday to lead Del Sol’s flag football team to a 46-24 road victory over Spring Valley.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Matlock, Wildcats edge past Eldorado

Bianca Matlock had 17 points, and Armonnie Byrd added 10 points and 12 rebounds on Tuesday to help Las Vegas’ girls basketball team to a 51-47 win over visiting Eldorado.

I-A BOYS SOCCER: Roadrunners set tone early, punch ticket to state

Tech’s boys soccer team struggled this season, needing to win its last two regular season matches just to qualify for the playoffs.

Despite those early struggles, the Roadrunners punched a ticket to the Division I-A state tournament with a 2-1 victory over Sunrise Mountain in the Southern Region semifinals Thursday at Bettye Wilson Park.

I-A BOYS SOCCER: Lopez leads Clark past Del Sol

Clark boys soccer coach Juan Chavez said his team’s good fortune this season started when senior Ivan Lopez became a leader.

The Chargers’ good fortune on Tuesday came largely because of Lopez.
