Michael Jones had 20 digs, five kills and four aces to power defending Class 3A state champ Mojave to a 25-6, 25-7, 25-15 sweep over Desert Pines in the Class 3A state quarterfinals on Thursday.
Tanner Lester had 11 kills and 11 digs Tuesday to lead Foothill’s boys volleyball team over visiting Silverado, 24-26, 25-15, 27-25, 25-17.
Brian Orellana had 34 assists and four aces to power Cheyenne’s boys volleyball team to a 25-21, 18-25, 17-25, 25-18, 15-13 road win over Desert Oasis on Friday night.
Matt Wilson had 77 assists, six digs, three kills, three aces and two blocks Wednesday to power the host Coronado boys volleyball team over Liberty, 25-19, 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 15-10.
Trevor Robbins had 20 kills to Monday to lead the Basic boys volleyball team to a 27-25, 25-22, 21-25, 27-25 victory over host Silverado.
Shaun Kampshoff had eight kills and served up 16 assists to lead Las Vegas High’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-23 road victory over Eldorado.
Boen Huxford had 18 assists and three kills, and Karson Bailey had 16 kills to lead Boulder City’s boys volleyball team to a 27-25, 18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12 road win over Eldorado on Friday night.
Liberty’s Lehi Ausage had 14 kills Thursday to lead the Patriots to a 25-20, 20-25, 26-28, 25-22, 15-11 boys volleyball win over host Silverado.
Martin Velasco dished out 46 assists in Liberty boys volleyball’s 14-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10 home win over Green Valley on Tuesday.
Alejandro Marin had 19 kills, and Alan Ramos-Flores had 28 assists to guide Del Sol’s boys volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-15, 26-24, 25-21 home win over Chaparral on Friday.
Anthony Walker’s 20 kills Wednesday helped the Cheyenne boys volleyball team rally sneak by host Mojave in a thriller, 24-26, 26-24, 24-26, 25-18, 15-13.
Pascual Chavez had 18 kills, and Troy-Toese Fautanu had 16 kills to help Liberty’s boys volleyball team edge visiting Legacy on Thursday, 25-11, 20-25, 19-25, 26-24, 15-8.
Tanner Franklin had 22 kills and 13 digs, and Justin Ahlstrom added 31 assists as Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team got past Las Vegas for a 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 15-7 home victory on Tuesday night.
