The man accused of a deadly stabbing on the Strip is a Guatemalan citizen who entered the United States without going through a border inspection point, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Brent Hallett, 47, had been stabbed suddenly in the back. It was broad daylight, about twenty minutes before noon on a busy, sun-drenched Las Vegas Boulevard.
The man who was shot and killed in a hotel room at The Mirage on Aug. 4 was 49 and lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the Coroner’s Office said Monday.
