Coronado senior Michael Sarro birdied the 18th hole Monday to grab a share of the lead at the halfway point of the Class 4A state boys golf tournament at Somersett Country Club in Reno.
Eldorado’s Matthew Manganello birdied seven holes at Reflection Bay on Tuesday en route to a 5-under-par 67 and the first-round lead at the Mountain Region Tournament.
Western’s Jared Smith carded a 1-under-par 71 at Boulder City Municipal on Monday and holds the lead at the midway point of the Class 3A Southern Region tournament.
Coronado’s four scoring golfers all shot under par at Revere on Wednesday as the Cougars ran away with the final Southeast League match of the season.
Drew Warnick shot an even-par 72 at Highland Falls on Thursday to lead Palo Verde’s boys golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.
Western’s Jared Smith shot a 2-under-par 70 at Legacy Golf Club on Tuesday to win a Sunset League match.
Kevin Phelps grabbed medalist honors with a 13-over-par 84 at Las Vegas National on Monday and led Boulder City’s golf team to victory in a Class 3A Sunrise League match.
Blake Schaper shot a 5-over-par 77 at The Club at Sunrise on Tuesday to earn medalist honors and help Boulder City to victory in a Class 3A Sunrise League match.
Benjamin Sawaia carded a 1-over-par 73 at Mountain Falls on Thursday to help Coronado’s boys golf team grab the lead after the first round of the Pahrump Valley Invitational.
