The Huntridge Theater became a musical venue in 1992 and was a staging ground for groups on the rise and alternative superstars, from Smashing Pumpkins to Sarah McLachlan, the Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Green Day and Fugazi. MGM announces the sale of Circus Circus for $825 million to TI owner Phil Ruffin on Tuesday, October 15. The 3,767-room property sits on a plot of about 60 acres near Sahara Avenue on the north side of the Strip.
