Judge rules on nearly 20 motions ahead of April trial for Elaine Wynn and Wynn Resorts

Lawyers for Elaine Wynn and Wynn Resorts were in court Friday arguing on nearly 20 motions. Elaine Wynn is demanding $460 million in damages from the company for losing her board seat, according to Wynn Resorts lawyer James Pisanelli. District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez asked lawyers on both sides to act like grown ups. The judge ruled on the motions, giving small victories to both sides. The pending case is expected to be heard in April.

The Lights FC opens its season at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fresno FC. The match is the first of the team’s 34 regular-season games. The Lights goal is to make the playoffs in their first year. To do that, they’d have to finish in the top eight of the 17-team Western Conference. We’re definitely excited for the season to kick off already and to see what the other teams have in store for us because we know we’re ready.

Pedestrian dies after being dragged half-mile after being struck

North Las Vegas police are investigating a Friday morning hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian. Police said an adult man was hit near a gas station on Las Vegas Boulevard North and was dragged a half-mile to where his body was found on an onramp to I-15 at Lake Mead Boulevard. Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for the vehicle. This is the 10th fatal crash of 2018 in North Las Vegas.
