Henderson police will target jaywalkers and inattentive drivers through the end of March. Police will add patrols around intersections with marked crosswalks. It’s part of an effort to reduce the number of pedestrian deaths in Nevada. Last year, 100 pedestrians were killed statewide.

This is Lue’s third season in charge of the team, with each of the previous two seasons resulting in a trip to the NBA Finals.
One person was sent to the hospital after a rollover Monday morning on Flamingo Road near Jones Boulevard. An SUV rolled over, hit a light pole and caught fire. Clark County firefighters helped Las Vegas police clear the scene. Police could not say if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
