Lights FC plan to play Freddy Adu against his former team

Former U.S. soccer prodigy Freddy Adu will likely make his Lights FC debut Saturday. The team plans to play Adu against his former team, D.C. United. I want to look at Freddy in the stadium, with the fans, with another important team (playing us). Adu was taken in the 2004 Major League Soccer SuperDraft by D.C. when he was 14-years-old. The attacking midfielder has played for 14 teams in eight countries since then. Now Adu is with the Lights to try to keep his career afloat.

Las Vegas Lights FC bring in Freddy Adu for tryout

Former American soccer prodigy and U.S. national team member Freddy Adu joined the Las Vegas Lights FC practice for a try-out Tuesday. Adu just took a year off from soccer. In 2016, he played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Adu is most notably known for being the youngest American to sign a major league professional contract. He made his debut for the U.S. senior national team at 16-years-old. *quote*
