Eldorado’s acquisition Caesars Entertainment Corp. would form an industry giant – VIDEO

Eldorado Resorts’ acquisition of larger Caesars Entertainment Corp., announced Monday, would form an industry giant with 60 domestic casino–resorts and gaming facilities across 16 states. The companies said the buyout would close next year. The deal is expected to bring major changes to the Strip — where the merged company may try to sell properties; and the deal is expected to raise questions about sports betting, regulatory issues, and the company’s possible future in Japan.

A mysterious software firm is buying more than 67,000 acres of land in Northern Nevada with plans to showcase its technology there. Blockchains LLC — whose website does not list any executives, a phone number or clear explanations of what its software does — is acquiring the land at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. It buying a landmass triple the size of Summerlin, Las Vegas’ largest master-planned community. The seller, developer Lance Gilman, says a major announcement from the company is expected by the end of February.
