With low temperatures forecast to be near freezing or in the upper 20s this week, Las Vegas and Clark County officials are offering advice to residents to help them deal with the early onset of cold weather.

Cool and windy weather will linger in the Las Vegas Valley for a few more days before temperatures rise again, the National Weather Service said.
Relief could arrive Sunday or Monday, when moisture flowing from the New Mexico area is expected to enter the area, said National Weather Service meteorologist John Adair.
The week will start off with a predicted high of 99 degrees on Sunday, slightly below the average high temperature of 103 for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.
