The great partisan tax debate

It’s just amazing to me the back and forth between the Democrats and Republicans over the proposed tax cuts and whether the middle class will benefit. And, of course, there is no agreement at all on the issue. So who’s right and who’s wrong? The argument just goes on and on.

Why does this have to be so complicated? Can’t someone just grab 100,000 tax returns from last year, run the new tax rules and see the results?
