I totally agree with Jean Day’s Tuesday letter to the editor about seeking armed volunteers to help keep our schools safe. These trained veterans would be doing a great service to their communities by volunteering to patrol schools. Teachers have enough on their plates and should not be required to carry a firearm. That suggestion makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Let the teachers do their jobs. The volunteers will do theirs.
Clark County Commissioners are living in a different universe. They have no common sense when it comes to making laws to regulate street vendors.
The governor’s suggestion to release more of Nevada’s federally owned land is a form of federal spending and diminishes Nevada’s gift of open space.

I wonder how many of these protesters could even find Israel on the map let alone know anything about the history of Jewish persecution.
