Third man sought in Pahrump home invasion

Police in Nye County are asking for the public’s help in locating a man they say helped rob an elderly Pahrump couple and their disabled daughter early Saturday morning.

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as William Jones, 40.

Two men, Carl Fort, 22, and Shaun Neubert, 20, were already arrested in connection with the crime after a traffic stop in Pahrump Sunday, according to a release from the sheriff’s office Tuesday.

During questioning, Neubert admitted to his involvement in the robbery then told police that Jones was the getaway driver, the release said.

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an armed robbery call and learned from one of the residents that two men, Fort and Neubert, had entered the home and held the 80-year-old man, his 75-year-old wife and their 49-year-old disabled daughter at knife point while gathering their cash, valuables and collectibles.

The robbers tied up the three residents before fleeing the home, the release said.

Fort and Neubert were booked into the Nye County Detention Center on multiple charges including conspiracy to commit home invasion, burglary and robbery, robbery with a deadly weapon on an older or vulnerable person, assault with a deadly weapon on an older or vulnerable person, grand larceny and false imprisonment, the release said. Neubert also faces a battery charge.

Fort’s bail is set at $112,500. Neubert’s bail is set at $67,000.

Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts if asked to contact Nye County Sheriff’s Office at 775-751-7000.
