ROUNDUP: Henderson nets four to send Grizzlies past Wildcats
Markie Henderson scored four goals, and Alyssa Gomez added four assists Tuesday as Spring Valley’s girls soccer team opened its season with a 5-0 win over visiting Las Vegas High.
Samantha Boeddeker also scored for the Grizzlies.
Spring Valley’s Megan Delaney made three saves to earn the shutout.
Shadow Ridge 12, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Taylor Lopez piled up seven goals to lead the Mustangs in a rout of the Cowboys.
Mackenzie Espiritu and Brittny Baham each added two goals, and Megan Cice also scored for Shadow Ridge.
Alexa Murrietta was in goal to record the shutout.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Tech 1 — At Tech, Brooke D’Onofrio scored two goals, and Tessa Sanchez added a goal to help the Spartans top the Roadrunners.
Maria Carrillo scored for Tech.
