McCarran tops list of most-mentioned US airports
Everyone’s taking about Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport online, but why?
McCarran is the most-mentioned airport in the nation, despite only being the 9th busiest in the country, according to zignallabs.com.
So, why is Sin City’s main travel avenue so popular with web users? Probably because of its increasing social media presence.
In December, McCarran threw down the virtual gauntlet and called out a Utah airport.
“Not many airports can compete with a view like ours,” Salt Lake City Airport tweeted.
In response, McCarran tweeted, “For fun’s sake, @LASairport will see your sunset and raise you the Strip & mountains.”
