Incredible timelapse shows you 2 years in Nevada — VIDEO

Nevada, the country’s seventh-largest state, is full of sites and scenes so few people get to experience in their lifetime. In a beautiful, three-minute timelapse, a lot of these can be seen.

Derrick Lytle, a photographer with a love for the West, shared his timelapse video of Nevada created over the course of two years.

“From Las Vegas to the Ruby Mountains there’s so much beauty and oddity in the Silver State that it deserves more than just one short video,” he wrote on Facebook. The Ruby Mountains in Elko County are one of his favorite Nevada sites.

The video takes you through the Silver State, showing you everything from an abandoned “car forest” in Goldfield to lakes surrounded with snow to the stars in the sky.

Lytle grew up in Overton and went to school in Utah. The timelapse took him two years to finish, as it was filmed as a side project in between his work as a professional photographer.

“There is just so much more than just the Strip,” he told the RJ. “Go out and explore the state — whether that’s nature or the weird stuff — just go see it.”
