Japanese train sets world record with 374 mph speed

How would you like to travel one mile in 10 seconds? If you go to Japan, you’re in luck — almost.
The Japanese Maglev train has set a world record with its 374 mph speed.
A five-hour journey by car would only take about 40 minutes aboard the Maglev.
“The train is due to begin service between Tokyo and Nagoya in 2027,” CNN reports. “Japan is also trying to sell this technology overseas, including right here in the U.S.”
The fastest train in the U.S., Amtrak’s Acela Express, travels between Washington and Boston, with a top speed of 240 mph.
