LETTER: Reparations have been paid

Reparations for slavery (Wednesday Larry Elder column)? Hundreds of thousands of my ancestors died — many in excruciating pain — on battlefields to end slavery in the United States. Their deaths were part of an event called the Civil War, which may have already been “canceled” out of many history books. Reparations have been paid.
