2 killed in central valley motorcycle crash
Two riders on a motorcycle died Monday after crashing into a car in the central valley, according to Las Vegas police.
The motorcycle was traveling west on Oakey Boulevard, near Dunesville Street, and struck the side of a Mazda that was entering the roadway before 9 p.m., police said.
The two motorcycle riders died on the scene. The driver of the Mazda and a small child were taken to an area hospital with complaints of injuries, police said.
The extent of those injuries were not immediately available late Monday night.
Detectives with Metro's Accident Investigation Section are looking into the crash.
Oakey was closed in both directions between between Westwind and Redrock, and Dunesville was closed in both directions at Oakey.
