Over 40 years, Lonnie Hammargren has collected over 10,000 different artifacts — from an Apollo space capsule to a roller coaster from the Stratosphere to Nevada history pieces.

He will open his home museum to the public for Nevada Day 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 4318 Ridgecrest Drive. Admission is $15 for adults; free for children under 12.

Last year, he said 1,500 patrons a day attended.
