Motorcyclist hospitalized after hitting minivan
A motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash in the central valley Wednesday night.
Nevada Highway Patrol said a collision occurred on Jones Boulevard at the U.S. Highway 95 northbound offramp. The motorcyclist was riding north on Jones and struck a minivan exiting the freeway about 7:30 p.m.
The rider was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, and an occupant of the minivan was sent to MountainView Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, highway patrol said.
Traffic is being diverted from Jones onto Upland Boulvard, just south of the freeway, and vehicles exiting the freeway at Jones are being diverted North, highway patrol said.
