A suspicious package found on the the Strip Wednesday night has been rendered harmless, Las Vegas police said late Wednesday night.
Metro's hazardous materials unit responded after the package was discovered just before 8:30 p.m. at The Cromwell, 3595 Las Vegas Blvd., South. near Flamingo Road. Metro sent its ARMOR unit to the scene.
The incident tied up traffic in the area, but vehicular and pedestrian travel is being restored to normal, Metro said.
Metro did not release additional information and instructed the press not to contact the on-duty supervisor for details.
