■ UNLV football coach Bobby Hauck ▶ resigns after five seasons with a 15-49 record. Worse coaching gig: Rebels football or the Washington Generals. Discuss …

■ Purchasing all the stuff listed in “The Twelve Days of Christmas” this year would cost $27,673 in stores, up just 1 percent from last year. This despite the cost-of-living increase won recently by the Amalgamated Milk Maids Union.

■ The Girl Scouts unveil an online tool that allows members to sell Girl Scout cookies online. Which won’t help at all as we try to explain to Grandma what Web cookies are.

■ At 56, Madonna poses topless for Interview magazine. Because … oh, who even knows anymore?
