A man was arrested in connection with a Wednesday night multivehicle crash in North Las Vegas that killed one person, police said.
In a statement, North Las Vegas police said 19-year-old John Paul Bryant was arrested near the crash scene after he ran away. He was booked on felony charges of duty to stop at the scene of an accident involving death and reckless driving involving death, and charges of failure to render aid at the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license.
Police identified the man who died in the crash as 32-year-old Calvin Hilson. Four other people involved in the crash were taken to the University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
