Facebook photo leads to rare eye disease diagnosis for little girl

A photo posted to Facebook by the mother of a young girl led to the 3-year-old being diagnosed with a rare eye disease recently.

A friend of the mom noticed a suspicious glow in the eye of the little girl and suggested her mom take her to the doctor, where she was diagnosed with Coats disease.

If not treated early, Coats disease can lead to total retinal detachment and permanent blindness.
