North Las Vegas police arrest 21 as New Year rolls in

Bullets from celebratory New Year’s Eve gunfire penetrated the roofs of two houses in North Las Vegas and over 20 people were arrested, North Las Vegas police said Thursday.

Police arrested 21 people in North Las Vegas between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday for charges relating to domestic battery, DUI, drugs, firearms, traffic and other miscellaneous violations, police said.

Police also received over 30 reports of fireworks and gunfire, police said.

The people in the houses that were hit by gunfire were not injured.
