Las Vegas police searching for woman in store heist

Las Vegas police were searching for a woman who tried to rob a store in January.

The woman, described as about 45 years old and 5-feet-5-inches tall, put merchandise in a bag Jan. 21 and tried to leave the store near Maryland Parkway and Tropicana Avenue, police said. She punched a security officer in the face when she was approached, then ran from the store.

She was wearing a tie-dye shirt, black pants and a multi-colored hair wrap.
