Tour bus crashes on California freeway, injuries reported

BALDWIN PARK, Calif.— A tour bus has crashed on a freeway east of Los Angeles, injuring 13 people.

KCBS-TV says the driver lost control and hit a light pole and chain-link fence on an Interstate 10 off-ramp shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday. The Los Angeles County Fire Department says 11 people received minor injuries and two were moderately hurt.

CHP Officer Christian Cracraft says the bus remains upright and the freeway remains open.

He says around 40 people were on board.

The accident comes four days after a series of tour bus crashes on other Southern California freeways killed two people and injured dozens more.
