Coroner IDs pedestrian struck, killed in front of Sunrise Hospital

A pedestrian who was hit by a car and died in front of Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday night was identified Friday by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Roger Pardue, 60, died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the coroner’s office. His death was ruled an accident.

Pardue was crossing Maryland Parkway near Desert Inn Road about 8:30 p.m. when he was hit. Pardue was outside of the crosswalk, according to Las Vegas police.

The driver of the car that struck Pardue was arrested and faces charges of driving under the influence.
