Holidays (and bazaars) just around the corner

While we might not feel it yet, summer is fading fast and the promise of fall is oh so close. And you know what that means: crisp, juicy apples; Halloween candy; and the Review-Journal’s annual listing of holiday bazaars.

For shoppers, our list of charitable groups selling one-of-a-kind gifts is the perfect place to begin holiday shopping. And not just for Christmas either, as some savvy groups offer items themed for Halloween and Thanksgiving, too.

If you’re a charitable organization with something to sell, now is the time to let us know by sending the name of the event, date, time, street address and examples of what will be for sale. Don’t forget to include the name of the nonprofit group, along with specific information on how the money raised will be used. A contact name and daytime phone number — not for publication — is required in case additional information is needed.

The deadline for providing these details is 5 p.m. Sept. 20.

Send information to Holiday Bazaars, Features Department, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0700. Or fax it to 702-383-4676 or email it to mrhynes@reviewjournal.com (with Holiday Bazaars in the subject line).

Further details are available by calling Madelon Hynes, 702-383-0306.

Shoppers should circle Oct. 6 on their calendar as the day the listing is scheduled to appear in the Review-Journal Living section and online at www.reviewjournal.com.
