Friendly Ford to host Vegas Shepherd Rescue event

Friendly Ford at 660 N. Decatur Blvd. is hosting a dog adoption event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with Vegas Shepherd Rescue.

Vegas Shepherd Rescue is the only German shepherd rescue organization in Las Vegas.

Entertainment and a barbecue will be provided free at the event, and prospective pet owners can meet canines in search of forever homes. Friendly Ford also will give away pet toys and other prizes.

“We are proud to once again host this adoption event with Vegas Shepherd Rescue,” said Jason Davis, Friendly Ford general manager. “It’s our goal to help them find wonderful forever homes with these beautiful dogs.”

All dogs are spayed or neutered, and have up-to-date vaccinations. MP K9, a dog training business in Las Vegas, will be on site with its German shepherd Echo, and will be doing dog-training demonstrations.

Vegas Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing lost, unwanted and homeless German shepherds with needed medical treatments, training and a loving environment while they rest, recuperate and are rehabilitated until they can be placed in homes. The organization can be reached at 702-706-7437 or online at www.vegasshepherdrescue.com.
