The man killed Wednesday after his bicycle collided with a tractor-trailer has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Peter John Makowski, 33, of Las Vegas, was southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard just south of Sloan when the accident occurred near mile marker 17, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck in the southwest valley on Saturday turned deadly for one, Nevada Highway Patrol said in an email.
The motorcyclist was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed on Washington Avenue near Rancho Drive just after 8 p.m. when he hit a car, police said.
