Pedestrian killed while crossing Decatur identified
The 83-year-old woman struck and killed while crossing Decatur Boulevard on Thursday morning has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Doris Stoehr.
According to witnesses, Stoehr was crossing the street north of Vegas Drive from east to west outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by a southbound 1998 Isuzu pickup.
Stoehr was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
This was the fifth traffic-related fatality of the year in the police department's jurisdiction.
