Coroner says Summerlin woman’s death is homicide

A woman whose husband found her dead in their Summerlin apartment Saturday was the victim of a homicide, the Clark County Coroner's Office ruled.

Shauna Tiaffay, 46, died of multiple blunt force injuries as the result of an assault, the autopsy ruled. The coroner classified the death as a homicide.

Police said Tiaffay's husband found her body about 9 a.m. Saturday at the Willowbrook Apartments, 2601 S. Pavilion Center Drive, near the intersection of Sahara Avenue, and just off the Las Vegas Beltway.

The husband was not taken into custody.
