Water Cooler: Texting while driving, ‘Octomom,’ screening babies

Here are a few things in news, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ Police report that thousands of Nevadans were ticketed over the first three months of 2012 for using cellphones while driving. And, from what we could tell, every single one of them was driving in front of us while we were trying to get to work.

■ "Octomom" Nadya Suleman u25B6 files for bankruptcy. Any one of her 14 (in all) kids already have math skills sufficient enough to have seen this coming.

■ A Newark, N.J., airport is shut down for more than an hour while officials search for a baby who hadn't been properly screened at a security checkpoint. Because nothing's more terrifying a security risk than a baby with a diaper that's about to blow.
