Arizona woman killed after darting into traffic

A Kingman, Ariz., woman died Sunday after she stepped in front of traffic on U.S. Highway 93 in northwest Arizona, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Spokeswoman Trish Carter said Adriana Buck, 20, was fatally injured when struck by a pickup at 8:51 p.m., about 10 miles north of Kingman.

Carter said people at the scene unsuccessfully tried to keep Buck from darting into traffic. No further details were released about the apparent suicide.
