Man shot dead near Las Vegas Strip Friday identified

The Clark County coroner has identified the man who died after a Friday night shooting near the Strip.

At about 1 a.m. Friday, Elliot Black, 23, was found wounded in a unit at Las Palmas Apartments, 3350 Paradise Road, near East Desert Inn Road. Black was taken to the University Medical Center but died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Metropolitan Police Department said a fight led to the shooting in the apartment where Black was found, and the shooter fled the scene. Metro continues to investigate the homicide.
