KB Homes scheduled to hold Summerlin grand opening
KB Home is hosting a grand opening event today from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at Kingwood Crest in The Vistas village of Summerlin.
The neighborhood offers four two-story home floor plans that range from 2,075 to 2,712 square feet and are priced starting in the mid-$200,000s. Grand opening events include refreshments, a $5,000 homebuyer design studio credit and drawings for a $500 gift card, skydiving for two, an iPad, 42-inch flat screen television and Xbox Kinect. Kingwood Crest's sales center is located at 944 Baronet Drive, just west of the Las Vegas Beltway at Charleston Boulevard.
Kingwood Crest is the final neighborhood selling in The Vistas village, one of Summerlin's most popular and scenic villages developed to date, according to Kevin Orrock, executive vice president of master-planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.
The neighborhood features two park areas and is located near South Tower Park, Linda Givens Elementary School, Canyon Pointe Shopping Center, Red Rock casino resort and spa and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Immediately south of The Vistas village in Summerlin Centre West, four additional neighborhoods are actively selling: West Park Villas and West Park Courtyards by William Lyon Homes, Ville Trieste at West Park by Pulte Homes and Traccia by Toll Brothers.
"Given the close proximity of The Vistas and Summerlin Centre West, valley homebuyers could easily visit these five actively selling neighborhoods in one day," Orrock said.
West Park Villas is a townhome neighborhood with four home floor plans ranging from 1,556 to 2,048 square feet. Prices start in the mid-$100,000s.
West Park Courtyards features four attached courtyard homes that range from 1,706 to 2,452 square feet. Prices start in the high $100,000s.
Villa Trieste at West Park is the first LEED-certified neighborhood in Nevada, according to Orrock. It offers four two-story home floor plans that range from 1,487 to 1,777 square feet. Prices start in the high $100,000s.
All West Park neighborhoods share a neighborhood park with open lawn and play areas as well as a swimming pool and spa for residents.
Five home floor plans are currently selling at Traccia in two home collections: Huntington and Newport. Floor plans range from 1,660 to 2,012 square feet. Prices start in the low $200,000s.
Traccia is a guard-gated neighborhood that offers residents a variety of private amenities including a clubhouse, fully equipped fitness center, tennis courts, two pools, and walking and jogging trails.
"Many Summerlin neighborhoods offer private resident amenities," Orrock. said. "This complements the abundant amenities offered throughout Summerlin. The community prides itself on offering residents immediate access to an unparalleled list of amenities."
Additional actively selling neighborhoods are located in the southern region of Summerlin in the community's newest neighborhood, Amado.

Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990 and has ranked in the country's top 10 best-selling master-planned communities for nearly two decades by national and regional housing studies.
Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with about 7,500 acres still remaining to accommodate growth within the master plan.
The community is home to nearly 100,000 residents.
Amenities include more than 150 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 miles of the Summerlin trail system, 26 public and private schools, 14 houses of worship, nine golf courses, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks and more than three dozen actively selling floor plans.
