Discovery to hold grand opening

Discovery Homes is offering preopening pricing and incentives today through the grand opening of its Mountain's Edge collections to be held Aug. 7 and 8. Six floor plans will be featured in the Breckenridge and Cascade neighborhoods, including two single-story homes, with prices starting at $74 per square foot.

"This collection of unique floor plans range from 2,227 to 4,147 square feet with two single-story and four two-story residences. They are perfect for those who want a new home that has more space both indoors and out," Gail vanDeursen, sales agent, said.

Lots measure 5,000 or 7,200 square feet, depending on the size of the home.

"Most are large enough for a pool," vanDeursen said. "In addition, our residences offer up to four-car garages."

For a limited time, Discovery Homes is offering preconstruction pricing as well as buyer and broker incentives.

"Our official grand opening is scheduled for Aug. 7 and 8, with a special Realtor preview the evening of Aug. 6. I encourage you to check out the community before then to receive as many discounts and incentives as possible," vanDeursen said.

According to vanDeursen, among the incentives available from Discovery Homes is up to 3 percent in nonrecurring closing costs available to those who use the builder's preferred lender. Current pricing starts at $240,000.

The Breckenridge and Cascade collections at Mountain's Edge are located in the heart of the community within the master plan's only 24-hour guard gated entrance. A mix of exterior architectural styling ranges from Spanish Colonial to Tuscan.

Discovery's floor plans offer as many as five bedrooms with as many as four-car garages and additional options such as a private courtyard per plan.

Both collections offer additional space with 10 feet ceilings on the first level of each two-story home and volume ceilings more than 10-feet high in the single-story designs. Other features include granite countertops, energy efficient construction and designer-selected beech cabinetry.

"The neighborhoods are also located within a few minutes' walk from the popular Exploration Peak Park," vanDeursen said.

"This is the largest park in Mountain's Edge and offers fun options for the whole family."

Mountain's Edge has devoted more than 500 of its 3,500 acres to community parks and recreation. It is surrounded by mountains and less than a 15-minute drive to Red Rock Canyon, Spring Mountain Ranch and Bonnie Springs.

The sales office for Discovery Homes' Cascade and Breckenridge collections is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. To visit, take Blue Diamond Road to Buffalo Drive and head south on Buffalo. Turn right on Gomer Road and make the first left to the community.
