Surveillance video released in liquor store slaying

Las Vegas police are hoping that surveillance video taken during the fatal shooting of a liquor store clerk will lead to the arrest of two suspects.

The video shows one man walking to the store's counter as his accomplice walks behind the counter and points a gun at the head of the clerk, 41-year-old Paul Stitt.

Police said the suspects were believed to be about 20 years old and wore oversized white shirts, dark pants and dark-colored ball caps with flat brims.

One man was wearing a hat with a "C" on it similar to that of the Chicago Bears football team logo. The other man was wearing a cap with a "D" similar to that of the Detroit Tigers baseball team logo.

Stitt was shot in the head about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the suspects took an unknown amount of money and fled.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 385-5555.
