Excerpt:

If you struggle with remembering people’s names, you are not alone. We all do. When we first meet someone, we are learning so much new information that a mention of his or her name seems to slip by.

A simple trick you can try is to repeat her or his name a few times to help it sink in immediately, “Hi, Jill. I’m Sue. Now, how did you hear about this event, Jill?”

Another thing you can do is imagine her name written above her head to give yourself an extra subliminal suggestion.

You can also make up a rhyme or connection to help you remember, like Jill loves a thrill or Sue dressed in blue.
