Even on an off night, Delon Wright had enough going on to hold off UNLV. Wright, one of the top guards in the Pacific-12 Conference, was not at his best Saturday night but still scored 17 points to lift 14th-ranked Utah to a 59-46 victory over the Rebels at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
UNLV coach Dave Rice’s take on his team’s dreadful offensive performance on Saturday night in a 59-46 loss to No. 14 Utah at MGM Grand: “Five assists and 15 turnovers is not going to get it done,” Rice said. “That’s for sure.”
The best the Rebels could do tonight was a C grade by the frontcourt, led by Chris Wood. The guards, the bench and the coaching were not even average.
