If you are a high school musician who has ever dreamed of playing in front of 10,000 people, here is your chance. The city of Henderson is inviting all Clark County high school students to participate in its inaugural Battle of the Bands competition for a chance to perform at the city’s Fourth of July celebration.
They kept up their grades, excelled in sports and received recognition for it. On May 23, Las Vegas Athletic Clubs recognized nearly 40 female student-athletes from across the Las Vegas Valley at its annual banquet at the Palms.
This school year the Clark County School District tested financial literacy programs at 12 high schools around the Las Vegas Valley, including the $mart Program, a series of web-based educational lessons by Washington, D.C.-based developer EverFi.
