Confidence is high in Reno that UNR will take back the Fremont Cannon from UNLV. Quarterback Cody Fajardo stated as much in a tweet last month, and two Reno Gazette-Journal reporters predict a Wolf Pack victory when they play UNLV on Thanksgiving weekend.
UNLV enters Friday’s 7:30 p.m. football game at Arizona as a 24-point underdog, so it would be easy to dismiss the Rebels’ season opener as a sure loss. But even if the Rebels lose as expected, if they can at least be competitive, this game could be one to build upon.
