Three pop-up cooking demonstrations and two mixology segments each day will be among the highlights of the culinary portion of the Life Is Beautiful Festival Sept. 25-27 in downtown Las Vegas. And this year’s installment of the festival, now in its third year, will have a decidedly local flavor.
The Las Vegas Beer & Barrel Project will be Aug. 28 to 30 at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. It will start with a VIP reception Aug. 28; seminars and panel discussions, followed by a festival on the beach with beverage and food stations Aug. 29; and “Beer for Breakfast” Aug. 30.
Real Asian noodles — to which those crispy fried things dumped out of a can bear no comparison — are gratifyingly easy to find in Southern Nevada these days, from noodle houses to ramen places and Asian restaurants of all description.
